Wonderful Hummus



This can be served as a dip with pita bread, pita crisps, Triscuit© crackers, or colorful veggie wedges such as tomato, bell pepper, and cucumber. Serving crumbled feta cheese and olives on the side is nice too. Great party dip!


From Priscilla, with modifications by Isaac:

3 C. garbanzo beans, cooked
½ C. tahini (sesame butter)
4-5 cloves fresh garlic, minced
2 tsp. ground cumin (optional)
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper (optional)
2/3 C. fresh lemon juice
¼ C olive oil
1 tsp. sea salt

Parsley garnish or kalamata olives
Dash of paprika


 1. In a blender or food processor, thoroughly blend first set of ingredients into a smooth and creamy consistency. If too thick, add a little water. It should be the consistency of mayonnaise.
2. Spoon into a serving dish and sprinkle with a little paprika. Garnish with fresh parsley or kalamata olives.
